Established in 1983 in the US and now headquartered in Germany, Sunrise Medical is a leading global manufacturer, marketer and distributor of high-end mobility products such as manual and power wheelchairs, seating systems and home mobility equipment. The Company focuses on complex, built-to-order products configured individually for each end-patient.

The Company was acquired by Nordic Capital in 2015 from Equistone, who acquired it in 2012 from VestarCapital Partners.

MV’s role
MV Credit funds provided 100% of the second lien in the Secondary buyout of the business by Nordic Capital in 2015. Subsequently, as the majority second lien lender, MV Credit arranged the entire second lien financing of Sunrise Medical in 2018.
